EXCLUSIVE: Jessie and The Toy Boys Front Woman Cried When Told She Was Opening For Britney

Imagine you’re a 23 year-old up-and-coming pop star that once did a talent show routine in school to Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time.” Now imagine that you’ve been told that you’re going to open up for Spears this summer on the “Femme Fatale” tour. That’s basically what happened to Jessie Malakouti – and I’m sure you could only imagine how she took the news.

“This is no joke, I cried,” Jessie revealed on “The Ralphie Radio Show.” She fronts Jessie and The Toy Boys. “I’m tremendously honored to be a part of the ‘Femme Fatale’ tour. Britney is an icon, especially for my generation.”

That talent show routine wasn’t a joke either – Malakouti was in fifth grade when she choreographed a dance with her friends to “…Baby One More Time.”

“Someone has a video of it somewhere, I did it with four other kids in my class,” she said. “I want to try and find them on Facebook. I’m sure one of their parents taped it, and I would love to see it.”

Malakouti actually wouldn’t mind if the video went viral on YouTube – which is refreshing given that most artists would probably dread any video from their teens hitting the net. The 23 year-old is currently promoting her single, “Push It,” an electro-synth heavy dance track that she worked on with Tony Kanal of No Doubt fame and frequent Black Eyed Peas collaborator Jean Baptiste. Yelawolf, a rapper discovered and signed by Eminem, raps a verse on the song as well.

Jessie and The Toy Boys already have a bunch of tracks in the hole and a second single in mind – with aspirations to release an album before the end of the year.
