Saturday marked my first weekend-Halloween since I moved to the city three years ago. The holiday certainly isn’t my favorite; I’m just not a fan of dressing up. That said, it was Saturday, and my first in months that I had absolutely nothing on the docket. Some various colleagues were in town or simply hanging out, and so what started as a relaxing fall morning turned in to a string of meet-ups with buddies over drinks. The evening culminated with me linking up with another friend for dinner and drinks at a favorite West Village spot, Monument Lane, and then walking over to check out the parade for my first time.
