DAILY DOWNLOAD: Michael Jackson – ‘Do You Know (Where Your Children Are)?’

Apparently a 30 second clip of this song leaked on to the Internet a while ago, with the full version just hitting a couple of music blogs I check on the regular yesterday.

Off all the MJ songs to be released since his death, this one certainly has the most authentic feel to it – you could picture Jackson dancing and moonwalking to this one on stage.

A version of this song also hit the net yesterday with a verse from Jay-Z, however research determined that the bars from Jay in question were actually lifted from a different Jay-Z song, “Wishing On A Star.”

The above song is not on the track listing for Michael, due out next month.

EXCLUSIVE: Ke$ha Insists She’s Not a ‘Trashy Ho’; Previews ‘Cannibal’

If by listening to Ke$ha’s music you think you know who she is… well, you have no idea… maybe.

“I’m a classy partier, when I party,” the girl who sings “TiK ToK”, “Blah Blah Blah”, and “Take It Off” insists. “I think that’s just the key, it’s not like I’m trashy about it. But I’ll have a drink, whatever. But you probably don’t read about it because I’m not a trashy ho.”

The Nashville-born singer is well aware of the public’s perception that she likes to get down and dirty, but there’s apparently more than one side to Kesha Sebert.

“I just realized that, yunno the first record kind of got that message out there. I think it’s pretty clear that I like Jack Daniels,” stated Ke$ha. “So this record I kind of took as an opportunity to talk about a few other things.”

Her new LP – Cannibal – will be released November 22. The lead single, “We R Who We R” is dedicated to those who have been victimized by bullying. But Ke$ha intended the song to be an anthem for “anyone who ever got shit for being a little bit weird or different.”

“I wrote it a few weeks ago, and so (the ‘It Gets Better’ campaign) was definitely fresh on my mind,” she revealed. “It hit close to home because a lot of my really close friends, and obviously a lot of my fans are gay and I’m fully supportive of every kind of lifestyle.”

Apparently that even includes her ex-boyfriend. Remember the song “Stephen” off of Animal? The subject of the song wouldn’t call Kesha back. Now, he’s evidently not calling any girls back.

Ke$ha also chatted about her best friend Katy Perry, saying she’ll catch up with “Mrs. Brand” later this month at the American Music Awards.

“Turns out he likes to make out with ‘trannies,’” she noted of her ex-beau. “So I really don’t know what the power (of the song was).”

We’ll see what happens to another of her former lovers after the albums drops – track 5 is called “The Harold Song.”

“That’s my ex, ex… ex,” Ke$ha said, having to dig back in the archives a little. “I was just in the middle of nowhere, and got really bummed out because I was sleeping by myself and I hate to sleep by myself. And so I wrote this pretty heartbreaking song – or at least for me, I can’t listen to it.”

She offers up some more brutal honesty on “C U Next Tuesday” – yes, you should be looking in to the spelling of that.

“That one is about a guy who I was making out with and he would just only text message me,” Ke$ha recalled. “And I was like, ‘Really?’ It turns out like, I know you’re not in love with me but don’t pretend, just be straight up.”

And certainly if there’s anyone right now in pop music that has no problem keeping it real, it’s Ke$ha.

EXCLUSIVE: Cody Simpson Says Thanks, But No Thanks, To ‘Australian-Bieber’ Comparison

Cody Simpson wants you to know something: he isn’t “The Australian Justin Bieber.”

“I’m not really, I mean… first of all, I’m Cody Simpson,” the 13 year-old clarified on “The Ralphie Radio Show.” “I’m a big fan of Justin and I love his music.”

The Aussie is certainly aware of the reasons behind the comparisons: both “tween” heartthrobs, both pop singers, both discovered on YouTube. And while Simpson continues to distinguish himself from “The Bieber” – he is still flattered to be mentioned in the conversation.

“He’s been so successful with what he’s been doing,” Simpson said. “To even have like, half the success he’s had would be incredible.”

Surely the Australian teenager is well on his way: Simpson is already creating quite the stir internationally – winning an award and performing at the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards back in his home country. Now in the States, he has embarked on a multi-faceted promotional tour which includes stops at radio stations, local music stores, and middle schools.

“We’re all really proud of him,” said Simpson’s father Brad, who has accompanied Cody on his U.S. promo run. “As long as he keeps having fun (and) keeps his feet on the ground.”

The father and the team assembled around the teen manage the latter in a number of different ways: Mr. Simpson joked that he still has Cody on an allowance – and there’s a policy amongst Simpson’s camp: every fan gets at least one photo and one autograph, time permitting.

Simpson’s first single is called “Iy Iy Iy” and features Flo Rida. His debut album is due out early next year.

EXCLUSIVE: Akon Reveals Secret To Not Leaking Records, Says New GaGa LP Isn’t Done

It’s a story that has become as common as an athlete sex scandal: star artist records potential hit record, only for the song to “leak” on to the Internet. The storyline is genre-less (see: Usher “Love in this Club” and Taylor Swift “Mine”). But Akon insists that his next album, Stadium, will not become another viral blog post, and the superstar revealed why on “The Ralphie Radio Show.”

“Well first of all, stay away from G-Mail accounts,” he warned, referring to the free e-mail service provided by Google. “Anything that you put on G-Mail is going to get to the rest of the world, I know that for a fact. I’ve tested it. G-Mail itself is just the easiest e-mail to hack.”

Akon advises artists and producers to create their own server, with log-on credentials that only they know. The “Sexy Bitch” singer also believes that leaks can be prevented by limiting the amount of downloads off that server – even downloads that you, the creator, initiate.

You may be wondering: “Wait, didn’t we already hear songs from this LP, like ‘Life of a Superstar’, ‘Party Animal’, and ‘Nosy Neighbor’ leak on to the net?” All of the aforementioned tracks were allegedly produced by David Guetta. According to Akon, the operative word in that statement is “allegedly.”

“All of those were actually done by me,” he revealed. “It’s funny, because that ‘Life of a Superstar’, I originally did that for Nicole (Scherzinger) for the Pussycat Dolls. That’s her record.”

The American-born/African-raised artist told me he, Guetta and Freedom collaborator Giorgio Tuinfort have been in the studio creating “a whole new sound… to the whole Stadium sound.” The dance music trend is continuing to grow here in the States – and Akon might credit that to MTV’s “Jersey Shore”… but there’s one problem.

“I know I’m probably going to sound dumb saying this, but I haven’t seen ‘Jersey Shore’ yet,” he admitted. “Dude, I don’t know nothing about it. Don’t tell nobody though.”

Akon and I got back to talking about new albums, with the singer saying that fans of Lady GaGa’s previous work will love her latest on Born This Way. It was Akon that helped GaGa sign her record deal.

“It’s one of those albums where you can hear the growth in it,” he noted. “She’s getting bigger and bigger and her music is growing along with her.”

As for those wondering when GaGa will release this album: don’t start counting down the days yet. Akon said it isn’t finished yet.

“She’s always recording. That’s one thing about us, we never stop recording until it’s actually time to send it in.”

While the expectations may be high for both Kon’s and GaGa’s releases, Mr. Konvict Muzik may have set the bar even higher for his upcoming performance on the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.”

“Yeah man, that’s the hardest job of my career man,” he joked about the gig, which airs next month on CBS. “Honestly, you might see me perform harder than I’ve ever performed in my life!”
