VIDEO: White Carpet Arrivals at 2010 MTV VMAs

Celebrities of all colors… white, black, tan, and orange walked the White Carpet of the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Yours truly was the only reporter from Northeastern PA to fly out and cover the event at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Paul Delvecchio, a.k.a. “DJ Pauly D” from MTV’s “Jersey Shore” – wasn’t as orange as some of his Shore co-stars, namely “Snooki” and “JWoww.” “The Ralphie Radio Show” also airs in Providence, RI on the station he grew up listening to – 92 PRO-FM. As TMZ reported earlier in the week, Pauly did purchase a brand new 2011 Mercedes Benz, and he told me that he’ll be driving it around the Ocean State pretty soon. Makes sense considering a source close to the reality show revealed to me that the cast has already wrapped shooting for season 3.

Jay Sean is just beginning a promo run to showcase his new song “2012 (It Ain’t The End)” featuring Nicki Minaj. That trek will bring him to the Scranton Hardware Bar on October 2 to perform for BHT listeners. The Cash Money All-Star revealed the on the carpet to me that he’s been keeping in touch with an incarcerated Lil Wayne through label CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams.

“I’m going to see him when he comes out, “said Jay. Weezy will be freed in about 60 days. “I’ve heard that he’s good and he’s excited about coming out.”

Craig Robinson, better known as “Darryl Philbin” from NBC’s “The Office” was less enthused about a different departure – the exit of Steve Carrell from Dunder Mifflin after the show’s seventh season.

“It’s impossible, impossible right?” he questioned of “Michael Scott” leaving. “Let’s see what happens, let’s see if we can just right the ship.”

Robinson also noted that he hopes “The Office Convention” returns soon, even asking if Chris Doherty was still the Mayor of Scranton.

She showed up much later than expected, but Ke$ha still made a grand entrance to the white carpet on Sunday, quickly walking through so she could make it to her seat by Katy Perry for Eminem’s opening performance with Rihanna. While not fielding any questions from other media outlets – she did answer one for “The Ralphie Radio Show” – who keeps the coveted Moonman statue if 3OH!3 and Ke$ha win best collaboration for the “My First Kiss” music video?

“Oh, I will,” she said without hesitation. “I wear the balls in the relationship.”

Dane Cook wasn’t as lucky… no this has nothing to do with any of his body parts. He missed Eminem’s performance because he didn’t make it to his seat by the cut off. Was that because after the carpet closed, he stopped for a few words with me? I’d like to think not, but I’ll let you be the judge.

“I’m in the lab down here at the Laugh Factory in L.A., I have a new special that I’m going to do next year, but a greatest hits (album) this year,” Cook revealed – with the compilation slated for a November release.

Also making some time for “The RRS” on the white carpet – Sean Kingston, who I introduced to waiting Cascada, Deadmau5, who served as the VMAs House DJ, and Chelsea Handler’s sidekick Chuy Bravo – who became quite annoyed when I asked him why he hasn’t responded to a Facebook friend request of mine.

EXCLUSIVE: K’naan Surprised at Reaction of Twitter Apology, Still Seeking ‘Excitement’

Download the interview

International artist K’naan called in to “The Ralphie Radio Show” to chat about his new single, “Bang Bang”, which feature’s Maroon 5′s Adam Levine on the hook. The Somalian-born musician also spoke about a recent set of Twitter updates where he apologized for “going through the motions” on stage at an event in Dublin. K’naan was surprised that even legitimate news outlets printed his tweets, which he revealed were literally sent moments after leaving the stage.

But, the singer is looking forward to his fall tour in the U.S., admitting on “The RRS” that he believes the trek could get him “some excitement again.”

“Bang Bang” is off K’nann’s album Troubadour, available now.

EXCLUSIVE: B.o.B Hints at Train Collab; Previews VMA Performance

That might not be an airplane in the night sky you see Sunday during the MTV Video Music Awards. Actually, it could just be B.o.B himself shooting through the air.

“I’m still waiting to hear back about my space boots that I’m supposed to be wearing,” revealed the “Nothin’ On You” emcee during an interview on “The Ralphie Radio Show.” “Basically, (the space boots) flip the polarization of whatever you’re standing on so that you actually float.”

B.o.B was unsure if he’d have them in time for Sunday, but joked that if he did, he would wear nothing but those on stage. It’s fitting that he’s attempting to wear space boots, given that he’s nominated to win five “Moon Men” at Sunday’s VMAs.

Certainly the rapper doesn’t need astronaut shoes to feel he’s on “Cloud 9” these days. With a number one album and a handful of big hits spawning from it, 2010 has been good to B.o.B. The success is only yielding more opportunities, one of which could make for an interesting collaboration with the band Train.

“We actually did a few shows together, and I really got to learn a lot about just everything that I’m in and everything that I’m doing because Train, they had a really big hit also like, a few years back. So for them, this is like, round two,” he explained. “I learned a lot from them so; hopefully… you never know… something could emerge!”

The emcee revealed him and Train’s Pat Monahan “have definitely talked” about teaming up in the studio – now it’s just a matter of finding time. B.o.B believes that “once the dust settles” on their current schedules, the two will work something out.

Iyaz talked about a couple songs he’s featured on – namely Auburn’s “La La La” and New Boyz’s “Break My Bank”, but dropped an update about his album on “The Ralphie Radio Show.”

Replay will have a subtitle according to Iyaz, and he hopes to release the LP before the end of November.

EXCLUSIVE: Sean Kingston to Continue Touring With Bieber, Release LP in November

It looks like Sean Kingston will be releasing his third album in time for the holiday shopping season.

“It’s gonna be pretty collab heavy man,” Kingston said of the LP, which will feature tour mate Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Akon, Nicki Minaj, and more. “I swear like, it’s basically done so make sure you look out for a major album dropping in November.”

Fall will be a busy time of year for the island-pop star, as he will also still be touring with Bieber on the second leg of the “My World” tour. The trek stops at large arenas through mid-December. Kingston shrugs off the notion that living in both the hip-hop and pop worlds simultaneously is hard.

“You just have to stay true to yourself,” he said. “I think once you stay true to yourself, everything will come in place.”

Kingston has echoed similar sentiments while on the road to Bieber, a person he considers a little brother of his.

“I’ve just been telling him, ‘Stay humble, be safe, keep God first, don’t let it get to your head,’ you know, stuff like that,” said Kingston. Although while staying humble, the singer still knows how to have a little fun on the road. Sean admitted that it was he who put Bieber in that Lamborghini that the duo was photographed driving in during the tour’s stop in Los Angeles.

In addition to the tour, and the impromptu Lambo runs, Kingston and Bieber will also be dropping a mixtape, which the “Fire Burnin’” singer says will consist of about nine or ten songs. King of All Kings will be released September 20.

VIDEO: Flo Rida’s Fan Phone

Flo Rida made international headlines last year when he gave out his cell phone number to fans across the world. To this day, Flo still has the number activated, and occasionally tweets it out to his followers.

Before performing for over 1,000 people inside The Woodlands Inn and Resort, Ralphie wanted to call the phone during their interview on “The Ralphie Radio Show”, to make sure it was the real deal.

EXCLUSIVE: David Archuleta Doesn’t Watch ‘Jersey Shore’, Says New Album Is Finished

David Archuleta admitted on “The Ralphie Radio Show” that he doesn’t watch MTV’s hit reality show “Jersey Shore” – matter of fact – he even needed a synopsis.

“What is it about, exactly?” Archuleta innocently asked – completely unaware of stars like “DJ Pauly D” or “The Situation.” Fear not though, as David had heard of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi before.

“I was at ‘Good Day New York’ and everyone signs a wall and there was one that said ‘Snooki’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, who’s ‘Snoo-key’?’” he recalled. Archie later mentioned that he heard of the show before, but didn’t really know much else about the show or its cast.

The Idol-alum also said he’d be more intimated singing in front of Simon Cowell than Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, who is rumored to be a judge on the upcoming season of “American Idol.”

Thankfully for Archuelta fans, the singer knows this much: his sophomore LP, The Other Side of Down, is finished, and will be released October 5.

“I definitely had a lot more say (in the creative process of the album)… I just wanted this album to be me,” said Archuleta. “The theme of this album is ‘introducing David Archuleta’ to everyone.”

The process in opening up and speaking more about himself began with the writing of his memoir, Chords of Strength.

“At first, I was like, ‘Why the heck should I be writing a book? I’m only 19 years old,’” he said. “I can’t help but be myself. So, I wanted to do the same with my music.”

Archuleta said the new album is currently in the mastering process – and revealed that there is also a title track to the LP – one of his favorite’s on the piece, thus the name.

VIDEO: Flo Rida Inside The Woodlands!

97 BHT, Atlantic Records, Blue Wireless, and The Woodlands Inn and Resort were proud to present national recording artist Flo Rida inside Club HD at Evolution Nightclub on Thursday, August 26.

Flo performed a 40-plus minute set, including a medley of all his big international hits.

EXCLUSIVE: Flo Rida Reveals Second David Guetta Collab, Talks New LP

David Guetta used an effective formula to obtain material for his album One Love: I’ll do a track for you if you return the favor. In an interview on “The Ralphie Radio Show” Thursday, Flo Rida confirmed that Guetta isn’t straying from that mentality.

“Oh man, we got a crazy record together,” said Flo of a second collaboration with the French DJ. “It’s crazy. It’s definitely an up-tempo (song)… but it’s definitely hot. It has its own lane.”

That is about all the Florida native would reveal about the song – as he continues to drum up support of the duo’s first collaboration, the anthem “Club Can’t Handle Me”, which in addition to serving as the first single from Flo’s forthcoming The Only 1, also serves as the lead single for the “Step Up 3D” soundtrack.

Before performing for over 1,000 people inside The Woodlands, Flo Rida sat down with “The Ralphie Radio Show” to chat about his forthcoming, double disc album The Only 1. Flo also discussed projects with David Guetta and his iPhone which he constantly gives out the number to. Yes, it’s real.

“Normally you would have to probably go in and make a record for a movie, but I was already sitting on that record,” explained Flo of why he was so grateful to Disney for choosing the song. The rapper’s first hit, “Low”, was the lead track for the “Step Up 2 The Streets” soundtrack.

The emcee also clarified that unlike some of his previous records to feature a woman, the lady singing in “Club Can’t Handle Me” is simply a backup singer.

“The whole time you hear me singing, as far as Ke$ha (who sang on the hook of “Right Round”), she had more of a lead role on the record,” he clarified. Flo also featured Ke$ha on “Touch Me” and singer Wynter Gordon on “Sugar.”

The Only 1 will now be a double disc set, and is due out before the end of the year.
