hayden panettiere is more than just a cast member on the show heroes. it just so happens she plays one in real life.

hayden and friends were in japan to try and save dolphins. it’s the time of year in the land of the rising sun where the slaughtering begins. dolphins are brutally murdered – their death lasting up to ten minutes, leaving a sea of red behind them.

panettiere and a group of surfers from america and australia went as far as to swim out to the dolphins in an attempt to save the harmless mammals from the japanese fishermen. the life-threating confrontation lasted almost ten minutes, with the fishermen forcing the surfers to retreat.
