We don’t know if she’s getting paid on “Friday,” but Rebecca Black is most definitely getting paid for her viral YouTube hit of that name, which some have derided as the worst song ever recorded. Billboard reports that the 13-year-old overnight sensation is earning somewhere around 27 thousand dollars a week from iTunes sales of “Friday.” Not bad for a song and video that only cost two thousand dollars to produce.

Rebecca is also kicking booty when it comes to views of her video. According to TechCrunch.com, “Friday” has been viewed 30 million times on YouTube, which is more than the 22 million views garnered by Lady Gaga’s much-hyped, big budget clip for “Born This Way.”

But the big indicator that Rebecca’s song has truly become part of our culture is the fact that other artists are covering it. On Sunday night at a charity concert in L.A., Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers sang a piano version of the tune, and everyone in the audience happily sang along.
