How it started (when I bought that blazer 7 years How it started (when I bought that blazer 7 years ago) vs. how it’s going. I’m thankful to be working. I’m just as if not more thankful to be producing the best work of my career. And I’ve thought a lot lately about why that is. There are a lot of different factors. Experiences, both good and bad. Knowledge of my skill set and how to best leverage it. Increasing amount of skills and improving on existing ones. An environment that supports growth and content in multiple ways. Finding ways, monetary and otherwise, to invest in myself. Health (diet, exercise). Personal life (living situation, relationship). Bottom line -- it’s tough! And regardless of your talent level, surrounding yourself with good people and keeping an open mind definitely make it all more possible. Recycling wardrobe pieces to free up more cash to buy equipment and fund other ventures doesn’t hurt the cause either. 😉

I was home for 8 days earlier this month. Had the I was home for 8 days earlier this month. Had the chance to celebrate three birthdays (including mine), two graduations, my parents' anniversary and Father's Day all while working from home (or @trestaino's home). As I watched Big East Tourney replays earlier on ESPNU (G-Mac!), I thought about how thankful I am to have seen my 'Cuse fam last weekend. I love that we don't take each other for granted, and that even in the face of a pandemic, we did what we could to see each other. Love you all and see ya next year for Banquet 36.
